Maximize the Benefits of Smart Buildings, IoT/Big Data through Effective Specifications
With the emergence of IoT and Big Data, building owners and consulting engineers need to understand networks, gateways, open systems and other new technologies that are necessary to design a Smart Building. It is imperative that construction teams adopt Division 25- Integrated Automation into their specifications and develop an understanding of Integration Platforms, Self-contained IP Networks, Smart Building Design and Open Solutions.

Greg Fitzpatrick, CxA has worked in the Building Systems and Controls Business for over 25 years. He has worked as a consulting engineer, HVAC equipment and controls sales engineer, and worked for DPSPMT as the Chief Mechanical Design/Commissioning Manager. He then went on to start BDC Engineering, a mechanical Solutions Provider specializing in providing technical and commissioning services. Greg now works at Cochrane Supply and Engineering in business development, where he supports end users and consulting engineers with IoT and Integration solutions.
