April 8th Meeting
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the East Michigan Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers Spring 2008 meeting at Lawrence Technological University on Tuesday April 8, 2008. The dinner-meeting will be held in the LEED-NC Gold certified Alfred Taubman Student Services Building on the Lawrence Technological University campus at 10 Mile and M-10. Registration and Social time begins at 5:15 pm. The Diner/meeting will begin at 6 pm with Mary Beth Ryan from WJR radio presenting. The guest lecture by Philip Plowright from LTU, will begin at 6:30 pm.

We have two invited presenters. First, Mary Beth Ryan from WJR radio station will discuss a new integrated multi-media radio and internet program titled WJR's Great Lakes Energy Conservation Program. The objective of the program is to increase awareness of the states energy efficiency programs, provide targeted education, and provide information regarding product/service incentives, cost saving rebates, and opportunities for registration to newsletters .

The second presenter is Philip Plowright, Assistant Professor in the College of Architecture and Design at Lawrence Technological University. Please see his attached biographical sketch. His talk is entitled: "Sustainability, Housing and Energy: Strategies and Trends in Systems". The interaction and trade off of sustainability and energy conservation programs will be discussed.

Cost to attend for non-members is $25.
